Laura Brentnall

Support Desk Manager and Consultant

Laura joined Data Protection People as a Service Manager and Consultant in November 2023, bringing with her 4 years of experience in local government leading on ICO investigations, complex Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests and data breaches as well as guiding local authorities in shaping a resident centric approach to data protection as the DPO.

Laura has a number of key roles at DPP, but her main role is to lead and shape all Support Services. Laura mentors and guides 17 key support staff across both the Support Team and the SARs Bureau in delivering guidance across a whole range of areas for all clients.

Laura also works closely with clients guiding them through complex Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests, focusing on clear guidance when applying manifestly unfounded and vexatious exemptions.

In her spare time Laura can be found walking her dogs, sampling the best coffee Leeds has to offer and spending time with family and friends.
