Retention & Archiving – Part 2
In this week’s episode of the Data Protection Made Easy Podcast, our hosts Oliver Rear and Carrie James join together to discuss retention and archiving particularly focusing on how to inspire a culture change around archiving within an organisation.
On the 13th of May this year, we hosted part one of this discussion where we looked at:
– What is data retention?
– Why is it important?
– How long can you hold information?
– Who is responsible for managing retention?
– When is it necessary to delete data?
– Where should you store your data?
Data Protection Made Easy is a collaborative space where Data Protection Practitioners can come together to discuss the news of the week and share their views. We now have over 950 subscribers who all have the shared goal of making data protection easy.
We host these sessions to grow a like-minded community who can support each other with any challenge imaginable, we have DPOs, IT Managers, CEO’s and event students who are part of our community. If you work in data protection or even if you just have an interest in it, Data Protection People aim to create a space where you can collaborate with people in the same place as yourself.
We host a range of sessions which almost act as a guide to specific areas of data protection. next week our hosts will return for n episode of GDPR Radio which is a laid back collaborative session where we discus the news of the week and share our views and opinions.
As always, our sessions are completely free to join and anyone can become part of the community, if you would like to learn more about our event or sign up and join our community, why not visit our events page and check out what’s coming up over the next couple of months.
