This session has been planned by Vicki Lawson, Data Protection Consultant here at Data Protection People. Vicki worked in the education sector for just under 4 years. During her time there she came across many different challenges that seemed specific to the sector. She was in desperate need of a community where she could bounce thoughts and ideas off like-minded individuals who are working in the same industry. The Data Protection Made Easy Podcast is a brilliant network and community for Data Protection Practitioners of all shapes and sizes, however, we cover topics that more generally appeal to our entire audience and don’t often dive into the specific challenges that come along with being a Data Protection Practitioner in the Education Sector.
Vicki has now launched her own virtual forum named the ‘Data Protection In Education Forum’ which is an online group, hosted on LinkedIn, where Data Protection Practitioners across the UK can come together and share ideas, insights, challenges and solutions to those challenges.
We hope that this group will grow and hope that we can provide an open and collaborative space for Data Protection Practitioners in this sector to support one another.
