Data Protection Consultant Job Opportunity

As the world becomes more digitised, businesses and organisations are generating and processing more data than ever before. With this increase in data comes an increased risk of data breaches and cyber-attacks3. That’s where a Data Protection Consultant comes in – to help businesses and organizations protect their data and comply with data protection laws.

We are a team of 25 passionate individuals based just outside of Leeds city centre, dedicated to making data protection easy for our clients. We believe that our people are the most important element of our business, and we invest in their training and development to ensure they have the necessary tools, skills, and education to be successful.

As a Data Protection Consultant, you will be responsible for working closely with our clients to ensure their data is secure and they are compliant with relevant data protection laws. This is a full-time role, and while we prefer our team to be in the office, we do allow for hybrid working where you only come to the office once a week.

Our office has many benefits, including an abundance of free parking, free tea and coffee, a beef fridge which is open every Friday from lunchtime, a daily sandwich van which visits us on-site, and a roof terrace where we often host staff events in the summer.

We are looking for someone who has experience working in data protection, particularly people who have served as a Data Protection Officer for 2+ years. However, we also have top-class training and support to help you succeed in this role, so even if you feel slightly underqualified, we encourage you to apply.

The most important thing to us is hiring someone who can support our customers and put them at ease. Our mission is to make data protection easy, easy to understand, and easy to do. We believe that our clients should not be bogged down by complex legal jargon and should be able to focus on their business while we take care of their data protection needs.

As a Data Protection Consultant, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

    • Conducting data protection audits and risk assessments for clients
    • Providing advice and guidance on data protection laws and regulations
    • Developing and implementing data protection policies and procedures
    • Managing data breach incidents and ensuring they are reported to the relevant authorities
    • Providing training and education to clients on data protection best practices

This role has a flexible salary depending on experience, and we are open to candidates in the range of 35K-55K. If you are passionate about data protection and helping businesses protect their data, then we encourage you to apply today by sending your CV to [email protected].

At Data Protection People, we are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected. We believe that diversity makes us stronger, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences.
