Job Title: Subject Access Request Manager
Salary Range: £25K to £35K
Location: Leeds (hybrid working style)
Data Protection People is a dynamic and growing organisation specialising in providing expert Data Protection advice and services to a range of clients across various sectors. We are looking for an experienced SAR Manager to join our team in Leeds to lead our Subject Access Request handling service.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the entire SAR process for our clients, from initial discovery to redaction. You will have excellent communication skills, be highly organised, and have a strong attention to detail. You will also be able to work independently, whilst also being a team player, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include:

- Managing our SAR handling service from end to end
- Liaising with clients to obtain necessary information for SAR requests
- Conducting thorough reviews of all documentation and data to identify personal information
- Managing redaction and ensuring all necessary steps are taken to protect personal data
- Providing regular updates and status reports to clients
- Providing guidance and support to colleagues on SAR related issues
- Liaising with external parties, such as the ICO, where necessary

The ideal candidate will have:

- Previous experience in managing SAR requests
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently
- A good understanding of Data Protection laws and regulations
- A proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to adapt to change
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- A strong customer focus and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
