Your Role as a Trainee Support Desk Consultant
As a Trainee Support Desk Consultant, you will play a crucial role in handling data protection support queries and assisting clients with GDPR compliance and privacy best practices. This is an entry-level role designed to develop your skills and knowledge in data protection, legal research, and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities:
Handling Support Tickets & Client Queries
- Log and manage support tickets raised through email, web forms, and telephone.
- Review and summarise client requests to determine the best course of action.
- Conduct research into data protection regulations and apply findings to client queries.
- Prepare responses to support requests, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Review and analyse responses prepared by colleagues before final submission.
Support Desk Administration
- Assist in administering and maintaining the Support Desk service.
- Generate usage reports to track support desk activity and client engagement.
- Manage support desk tasks, including setting up jobs, updating whiteboards, and coordinating meetings.
- Maintain and update the support desk knowledge base and resource library.
- Produce templates and documentation to improve support processes.
Training & Development
- Follow a structured professional development plan to progress within the company.
- Receive mentorship from experienced consultants to enhance your skills.
- Work towards becoming a fully qualified Data Protection Consultant.
Team Collaboration & Client Support
- Work closely with experienced data protection consultants to resolve client queries.
- Support internal projects and business development initiatives.
- Assist in managing client relationships and providing high-quality service.
Who We’re Looking For
- Legal Background – A law degree or legal qualification is required.
- Strong Research & Analytical Skills – Ability to analyse legal requirements and provide clear recommendations.
- Excellent Communication Skills – Ability to write clear, concise responses to client queries.
- Organisational & Time Management Skills – Ability to handle multiple support requests efficiently.
